Hyatt Day Rates to the Rescue

Ever been held up at an airport with a lengthy delay and just wished for a shower and nap? Or been eager to start your vacation off with a family-friendly place to dip in the pool before heading out on a cruise ship? Well, some Hyatt hotels are coming to the rescue with a little-known feature: day rates!

Day rates, offered many Hyatt hotels in airport and cruise port destinations including Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport, Hyatt Regency O’Hare, Hyatt Regency DFW, and Grand Hyatt DFW, allow travelers to spend the day in a guest room at a discount. It’s a huge convenience for guests with enough time to get bored during a layover but not enough time to go off exploring.

Jeff Donahue, Director of Sales at Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport, said the hotel’s day rooms are available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and, “guests have access to everything in the hotel,” which includes multiple restaurants and a beautiful outdoor pool.

26- Day Rates

Day rates are a great option for families, since it keeps the kids contained and entertained. After a “crazy, wonderful, busy, energizing, fantastic” trip with Disney Cruises, Corinne McDermott of Have Baby Will Travel found herself with a happily exhausted family that had 10 hours before their. She decided to spend the day at Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport, where her family was able to swim in the rooftop pool, have a snack, take showers, and take an elevator straight from the hotel lobby to the airport terminal for an easy check-in process. Corinne said the day rate was “an affordable luxury that’s totally worth it.” See her full experience in her blog post here.

While the majority of guests taking advantage of day-rates at Hyatt Regency Orlando are cruise-goers from Port Canaveral like Corinne, others are take advantage as well, including international travelers from Latin America and Europe with long layovers in Orlando.

So if you only have a few hours – or are stuck in the airport for a few more hours than you’d like – day rates are a great way to take advantage of all what Hyatt hotels have to offer.

Day rates must be booked by phone; you can either call our reservations line at 1-800-233-1234 or contact the hotel directly. Rates and hours vary by hotel and availability.
