We love our chefs. Their culinary visions and delicious creations keep our restaurants lively and guests' palates satisfied.
From NoMI Kitchen's Executive Chef Ryan LaRoche (just named one of "Five New Chefs to Watch" by Esquire magazine) to Executive Pastry Chef Gottfried Schuetzenberger at Grand Hyatt Singapore (received a Lifetime Achievement Award at this year's World Gourmet Summit Awards of Excellence), our chefs around the world are the genius behind Hyatt's culinary experiences. And today, we couldn't be more excited to bring a new celebrity chef into the mix.
Foodies: this one's for you! Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort & Spa and acclaimed Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto will be teaming up on Morimoto Maui. Chef Morimoto's fifth restaurant will open in conjunction with Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort & Spa's grand opening in Spring 2013.
With a menu that will focus on integration of traditional Japanese culinary techniques with local Hawaiian ingredients, Morimoto Maui will offer a 57-seat interior dining area, a 56-seat outdoor terrace, a 23-seat terrace bar and an eight-seat sushi bar serving sushi and sashimi made from some of Maui's freshest, local fish. Just steps from the beach, Morimoto Maui is sure to vibe with the laid-back island culture with a cutting-edge culinary experience.
Welcome to Andaz, Chef Morimoto!
