The month of December has flown by, and we can't believe it's less than one week until Christmas! At our hotels around the world, it definitely is the most wonderful time of the year. Whether it's sipping on eggnog, decorating the Christmas tree or building (and eating!) a gingerbread house, our associates and guests are spreading holiday cheer and bringing it right here to Keyed Into Hyatt!
Today we're featuring our four-legged friends who want a chance to sit on Santa's lap this Christmas – and our friends at Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa made that wish come true! Earlier this month as a part of the hotel's annual tradition, dogs dressed in their holiday best had the change to snap a complimentary photo with Santa Claus to help other animals find a home this holiday season.
Since overpopulation of homeless animals is a big issue in New Mexico, Hyatt Regency Tamaya (which is a pet-friendly resort) asked residents to stop by with their pets and donate at least one pet food item. In return, their pets were able to pose with Santa Claus, and as you can tell by the photos below, we think many of these cute canines gave Santa a run for his money!
In addition to donating pet food, several dogs and cats were available for adoption through Animal Humane New Mexico.
We're so glad to report that Hyatt Regency Tamaya's event was a huge success! More than 300 pounds of food was collected, and best of all, two lucky dogs were adopted and found wonderful homes right in time for the holidays!
