Vacation is a time for relaxation, exploring and indulgence, but thanks to special offerings at Hyatt hotels, it's the perfect opportunity to become a chef, too! Saturdays at Hyatt Regency Cologne, small groups of locals and travelers are treated to a hands-on course in pastry making. The different class options give insight on various pastries, including sorbet, chocolate, holiday and pralines.
Come along with us behind the scenes through a recent pralines class with Patsry Chef Andreas Radünz.
To start, the chef explained what he'll be making, the ingredients and tools needed, and where to buy everything.

Over the next three hours, participants were guided step-by-step through preparing the various pastries. As a group, they made walnut-marzipan (almond paste), chocolate truffle (with Baileys), white chocolate truffle (with coconut and Batida de Coco), florentine and Pavés (nougat).

Attendees are also treated to Chef Andreas' own 'dos and don'ts' based on his experience.

The class isn't just a ton of fun, participants leave full, wiser and with recipes in hand!
