Ngoc was recently recognized as "Employee of the Year" for 2011. His dedication and positive attitude haven't slowed over the past 30 years of service. He is known for his friendly demeanor and the passionate attention to detail he puts into his trade each and every day. For Ngoc, working at Hyatt is truly as family affair as his wife, Leann, also works at Grand Hyatt New York.

Hyatt Tenure: 12 years

Diane continues to raise the bar when it comes to guest comments and recognition. She continually receives guest letters thanking her for the impact she makes on their stays with us. In the past year alone, Diane has received 52 guest letters or emails recognizing her authentic hospitality. Additionally, she routinely participates in Grand Hyatt New York's Hyatt Thrive events that give back to the community and was instrumental in organizing employee participation in the New York City AIDS Walk.

Carrie Barrameda

Human Resources - Paymaster

Hyatt Tenure: 28 years

Carrie recently celebrated her 28-year anniversary with Grand Hyatt New York, where she started as a food and beverage cashier. Today, as paymaster, Carrie works quietly and diligently behind the scenes every week to make sure all the more than 900 employees receive a paycheck each week. She's known for being extremely dedicated and passionate about her work and takes great pride in ensuring employees are paid timely and correctly.

Connie Hsia

Wardrobe Attendant/Seamstress

Hyatt Tenure: 31 years

Connie has been a key contributor to making the Grand Hyatt New York staff look fabulous every day.  Since 1980, Connie has been a part of the hotel wardrobe department as a seamstress. As a loyal Hyatt team member, she shows great pride in her work everyday. Connie represents Hyatt through her membership and volunteerism with the Chinese Hotel Association, which recently recognized Grand Hyatt New York as the "Hotel of the Year" for its long record of fair and equal treatment of Chinese workers.
