Hyatt Regency Boston guests have a new favorite room. It's not because of an amazing view. Or because it's a corner room (although, it is!). Or because it's close to the ice machine.
The hotel has redesigned one of its guestrooms and opened a one-of-a-kind "Room for Hope" in partnership with Children's Hospital Boston, one of the largest pediatric medical centers in the United States. Thanks to collaboration and passion from many different organizations, the dedicated guestroom is now home to a world map that highlights regions where Children's Hospital Boston patients have originated, framed artwork, and bathroom tiles created by Children's patients. One grateful patient's family, whose child helped decorate the bathroom tiles, was the first to test out the remodeled room.
Available until April 2013, proceeds from stays in this special guest room benefit the hospital. This hotel is also raising money through a round-up-the-change program in the restaurant, donation envelopes in guestrooms, check-in donations, and an online giving opportunity, with a goal to raise $25,000. Hotel associates are just as involved as guests, supporting the effort with "casual for a cause" days.
If you're traveling for fun or for business, this is an easy way to sleep well and do well!
