More fresh news: We're bringing Park Hyatt to one of South Korea's hottest beach destinations!
When the newly built Park Hyatt Busan opens next year, it'll be the second Park Hyatt and the fifth Hyatt hotel in the country, joining Park Hyatt Seoul, Grand Hyatt Seoul, Hyatt Regency Incheon, and Hyatt Regency Jeju.
More than a hotel, Park Hyatt Busan will have three residential towers, an office tower, and retail space... all located right off Haeundae Beach, a popular Korean destination with hot springs. Events like the Haeundae Sand Festival, an exhibition of sand statues by internationally-renowned sand sculptors, and the Busan Sea Festival help to bring more than 500,000 tourists to Haeundae Beach every year.
But Busan, South Korea's second largest city, is about more than beaches. It's home to the world's largest department store (even the Guinness Book of World Records says so!) - Shinsegae Centum City, universities and graduate schools, museums, and religious and historical sites, including temples and fortresses. Visitors can get their art fill by popping into one of Dalmajigil Road's, nicknamed "Street of Culture," many art galleries or visiting the Busan Museum of Art. And the city's aquarium - right on Haeundae Beach - is the largest in Korea, featuring a hands-on touch pool.
Stay tuned for the opening next year!
