Hyatt and Kokua Hospitality associates celebrate the opening of the Pali Tower

Last week, we gave a very big "e como mai" to Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach, which opened the doors of its Pali Tower, the first of two towers being constructed at the hotel. The second tower, the Diamond Tower, holds an additional 236 rooms and will open in the spring of 2012.
To toast the opening of the first tower, the hotel hosted a traditional luau reception with residents, local government officials, and hospitality professionals. The party was definitely a hit, filled with local Hawaiian traditions and customs, including a blessing by a Hawaiian Kahu (priest), entertaining performances by hula dancers, fire eaters and more.
Check out the photos and videos below to get an inside look at Hyatt Place's official welcoming to Hawaii!
