If you're a big Top Chef fan, then you most likely tuned in to the show's spin-off, Top Chef: Just Desserts, which has its second season debut last week.

Here at Hyatt, we've already have a fan favorite – our very own Katzie Guy-Hamilton, who is the executive pastry chef at New York Central, the new restaurant at Grand Hyatt New York. Katzie is competing for the coveted title of Top Chef, as well as a grand prize of $100,000 from KitchenAid, a feature in Food & Wine magazine, and a showcase at the annual Food & Wine Cayman Cookout.

Katzie studied at the French Culinary Institute and likes to create approachable and whimsical treats. Some of Katzie's signature desserts at New York Central include:

  • Watermelon Float: pink and yellow watermelon, prickly pear, violet
  • Farmer's Market Fitters: raspberry jam, honey butter, jersey corn ice cream
  • Baby Bread Pudding Load: peaches and ginger cream, basil butter
  • Passion Fruit Souffle: jasmine madeleines, smoked cashews, condensed milk

We're drooling just thinking about all of the delectable desserts that Katzie will create on this season of Top Chef: Just Desserts. Make sure to tune in every Wednesday at 10pm ET on Bravo to watch Katzie on her "sweet" journey!
