A visual arts exhibition in the heart of New York City. An indie rock concert by a new up-and-coming band. A fashion show for a Dutch designer making a debut at London Fashion Week. A screening for a movie by an aspiring producer. What do all of these have in common? They all focus on fashion, music, art, and film – all of which are industries that the Andaz brand has come to know, respect and infuse into its DNA throughout the last several years.

At the core of the brand, Andaz is focused on tapping into the cultural interests of its guests and finding out about their passions and aspirations. And it's done this through Andaz Salon, which takes place at all nine Andaz properties around the world and allows guests and neighbors to mingle and engage in cultural discussions with the guidance of a unique, locally relevant host. From art exhibits, to wine and cheese immersions, to local music performances and culinary demonstrations, Andaz Salon gives guests the opportunity to interact with leading cultural insiders, learn something new, and spark creativity that they may not have known even existed.

Today, we are building off the success and momentum of Andaz Salon by taking it to the next level with new collaborations, new on-property events, and a new virtual venue. And we're giving you, our associates, a first look at this new inspirational site.

First, we want to explain a bit more about the evolution of Andaz Salon:

New Collaborations: We are excited about our new collaboration with The FLAG Art Foundation; a New York based visual arts organization that encourages the appreciation of contemporary art. FLAG's director, Stephanie Roach, is serving as the brand's very first Cultural Insider, which is a person who provides an authentic look at the cultural happenings around the world and in that person's industry. Stephanie will contribute content to AndazSalon.com with a unique perspective on a variety of subjects – such as finding inspiration in her local neighborhood, how she is influenced and moved by visual art, and her favorite picks in fashion, music, dining, literature, and more.

Stephanie will also serve as a host for two Andaz Salon events – one in Los Angeles and one in New York. There, Stephanie will bring together artists that regularly contribute to FLAG's exhibitions to speak with hotel guests and locals on the inspiration behind their work, as well as how to collect and curate art.

We're extremely passionate about FLAG and excited to embark on this journey with them because they truly share the Andaz vision of supporting emerging talent and making culture more accessible to all.
