You may have already heard the great news that Andaz is making its way to Hawaii with the new Andaz Wailea Resort and Residences, which is slated to open in the spring of 2013 -- but investors of the hotel just recently blessed the ground where the hotel will be built -- literally!

To officially welcome Andaz to Hawaii, a traditional Hawaiian blessing was done at the groundbreaking site – check out the photo below of everyone who came out to support the new property.

The hotel will feature 255 rooms, 35 suites, and 19 bedroom villas, which range from two to five bedrooms. We're sure guests will love the location of the resort too, which is situated along 600 feet of Mokapu Beach.

The hotel will offer plenty of variety for guests, including a three-meal specialty restaurant, cascading outdoor pools with adjacent bars, a signature restaurant, a 15,000 square foot spa, a fitness center, lobby lounge, and plenty of meeting space.

Andaz Wailea Resort and Residences will join the six other Andaz properties around the world, including two in California, two in New York, one in London and Andaz Shanghai, which opened in October of 2011.
