We would like to extend a warm congratulations to Grand Hyatt São Paulo for being honored as a 2011 World Saver by Condé Nast Traveler Magazine.

The World Savers Awards, now in their fifth year, honor travel companies from around the world for their leadership in social responsibility in five key areas, including education, environment and/or cultural preservation, health, poverty relief, and wildlife conservation.

The hotel, which is recognized in the category "Doing It All-City Hotel" has won this title for its commitment to initiatives in education and poverty relief, programs for minimizing the hotel's environmental impact, philanthropic activities, and support of local business and culture.

Among several initiatives, Grand Hyatt São Paulo works hard each and every day to make a difference in the lives of underserved youth from its neighboring communities. The two educational programs offered by the hotel, The Formare and the Youth Career Initiative (YCI), are both volunteer-driven and work to teach general schooling and skills to help prepare youth for growth and development in the workforce. All participants enrolled in these programs also receive complimentary medical insurance and income to help support their families.

Grand Hyatt São Paulo joins Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok among Condé Nast Traveler's World Savers Awards recipients – as you may recall, Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok took home a World Savers Award last year as the "Top City Hotel" for its commitment to corporate responsibility.

Winners of this year's World Savers Awards will be celebrated this October at a ceremony in Singapore. Congratulations again to Grand Hyatt São Paulo for doing it all!
