Washington, DC area Hyatt Hotels announced this morning that they are offering special hurricane rates starting at $99, for anyone affected by evacuations, power outages or flooding due to Hurricane Irene. These rates are currently being offered on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 26-28, 2011.

Hotels offering a $99 rate include Hyatt Regency Washington, Grand Hyatt Washington, Hyatt Regency Crystal City, Hyatt Arlington, Hyatt Regency Reston, Hyatt Fairfax, Hyatt Dulles, and Hyatt Regency Bethesda. Park Hyatt Washington is offering a $199 rate.

Anyone seeking to evacuate from coastal areas or seek shelter due to power outages can make reservations by calling 800-233-1234, visiting www.hyatt.com or by contacting the hotel directly. Advance reservations are suggested. Rates are based on availability at the time of booking. Walk-ins will be accepted at area hotels on a space available basis.
