Today, we'd like to introduce you to a new series called "Hyatt Friday Photo." Every Friday, Keyed Into Hyatt will feature a photo from one of our properties, giving you a glimpse into what makes that hotel special.
What better way to kick off our Friday Photo than with a picture of Hyatt Regency New Orleans' sign rejoining the city's skyline just in time for the NFL season kick-off at the Louisiana Superdome?
Last night as crowds of people flooded into the Superdome to cheer on the New Orleans Saints, Hyatt Regency New Orleans showed its own support for the reigning Super Bowl champs and the city by lighting the Hyatt logo sitting atop the hotel, marking the first time since it went dark five years ago when Hurricane Katrina struck.
Hyatt Regency New Orleans is adjacent to the Superdome and Champions Square. Upon reopening, it will be a centerpiece for the sports and entertainment district, which hopefully includes playing host to the many people who will flock to New Orleans for Super Bowl XLVII in 2013. As one of the last major New Orleans hotels to be restored, it will be one of the most significant hospitality developments to open in the city in over a decade.
We're proud to have the Hyatt logo shining brightly again in New Orleans.
