Setting up and rolling out the red carpet for Gallery Night guests

Drum roll please...we are excited to bring to our Keyed Into Hyatt readers a new, exciting event – the Hyatt Place Gallery Night!
The brand recently rolled out its first ever Gallery Night, which is a unique event that celebrates the opening of a new Hyatt Place hotel. We were lucky enough to debut our Gallery Night at Hyatt Place San Diego/Vista-Carlsbad, which just opened this past July and is already feeling right at home.
To give back to the community that has provided such a warm welcome, the hotel asked the Vista Unified School District to be a part of its Gallery Night. Here, the Gallery of the hotel was turned into an actual art gallery, showcasing local art pieces created by the students of Vista and Rancho Bueno Vista High Schools. All displayed pieces were then auctioned off, with all the proceeds going directly to the school for its art and music programming.
More than 200 people came to the hotel to celebrate and participate in the festivities, including the mayor of Vista, Judy Ritter, the entire city council, and the Superintendent of the Vista Unified School District. In addition to the art auction, guests could also enjoy the following:
In total, the event raised more than $2,000 for the Vista Unified School District. This donation and the hotel's work with the school district ties directly to Hyatt's corporate responsibility platform, Hyatt Thrive, which focuses on helping to improve communities through initiatives that relate to four key pillars, one of which is education and personal advancement.
The event was a big hit – check out the pictures below to see just how much fun everyone had. Plus, we were very impressed to see all the fantastic artwork from the students!
We're excited to see how successful Gallery Night was, and we want to send a huge thank you to the entire Vista-Carlsbad community for welcoming Hyatt Place with open arms! Make sure to check back in the future as we open more Hyatt Place hotels and celebrate with even more Gallery Nights!
