We're excited to announce that another Hyatt Place hotel is coming to the great city of Austin, Texas! Just last month, White Lodging and Hyatt broke ground to make way for Hyatt Place Austin/Downtown, a 296 room hotel that is slated to open in Spring 2013.
The hotel will be located in the heart of downtown Austin and is just steps to the convention center, Sixth Street, and more than 50 different restaurants. It's also just a short drive to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and the offices of major companies including Dell, IBM, Apple, Samsung, Google, and Motorola. Hyatt Place Austin/Downtown will add 250 construction jobs and 95 permanent jobs to the city.
Many White Lodging and Hyatt representatives headed to Austin to celebrate the groundbreaking – check out the great pictures below that were captured at the event.
We wish Hyatt Place Austin/Downtown the best of luck as construction gets underway, and we can't wait until its official opening!
