We love sharing big milestones here on Keyed Into Hyatt. Today, it's all about Hyatt Regency Savannah because the hotel is celebrating the big 3-0!
Since openings its doors in 1981, Hyatt Regency Savannah has welcomed millions of guests and has shown the city what true Hyatt southern hospitality is all about.
The hotel celebrated this momentous occasion with a party this week with more than 500 business partners, guests and city officials who all gathered to toast Hyatt Regency Savannah to 30 more successful years.
Guests enjoyed a selection of items inspired by the 1980's – the decade that the hotel opened – including:
- Seafood Station with oysters on the half shell, crab legs, and jumbo lemon shrimp
- Whiskey shrimp station with Jack Daniels glazed shrimp over spinach and egg linguine
- Asian Station with egg rolls and stir fry items such as noodles and vegetable fried rice
- Bloody Mary Caesar Salad station
- Dssert station with a chocolate fountain and a selection of cakes and pies that were also popular in the 80's including lemon meringue, banana cream, Savannah Trifle, coconut cake and an assortment of petit fours and fruit.
The reception also gave special recognition to the original 13 charter associates who have been at the hotel since opening day, including Linda Blake, Patricia Brinson, Juliette Bush, Cheryl Edwards, Janis Engram, Pam Evans, Sandy Fitzer, Polly Jones, Shirley Lariscey, Ruth Mitchell, Janice Fripp, Teena Wheless and Jerald Wright.
