It's time for our first "Renovation Report," your personal guide to renovations happening at some of your favorite Hyatt hotels and resorts around the country. Here, we'll give you the lowdown on renovations happenings across the globe, including information on what is being renovated and when you can expect to see the newly finished product!

We are very excited that many of our hotels have gone through these renovations — all which are meant to help meet our guests' needs and provide them with the best Hyatt experience possible.

Today's "Renovation Report" focuses on projects happening at some of our hotels in the U.S.

Grand Hyatt Atlanta recently completed its renovation of 439 guestrooms and suites, making them more chic and modern. The rooms sport new high speed Internet, iPod docking stations, full HD capabilities and 37" LCD TV's.

You'll be glad to know that the renovation was done with the environment in mind. Grand Hyatt Atlanta's existing furniture was liquated and resold, and 29,400 yards of wall vinyl and 29,586 yards of carpet and padding were recycled. The new and improved guestrooms also feature compact florescent lights, low flow toilets and digital occupancy sensing thermostats, which conserve energy while still maintaining guest comfort.

Hyatt Regency Orange County is bringing a new level of kid-approved fun with the recent renovation of their Kids Suite and VIP Family Suite, which is ideal given the hotel's proximity to Disneyland. A total of 103 rooms were redone, with the VIP Family Suite now donning a parlor and extra bathroom. Plus, the hotel recently completed a top-to-bottom renovation of all guestrooms, the 17-story lobby and front desk, an updated and expanded StayFit@Hyatt Fitness Center, 65,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and two new restaurants: TusCA and OC Brewhouse.

Hyatt Regency Washington is putting the finishing touches on its renovation, including a facelift for the ballroom and meeting space, both of which are scheduled to be completed in January 2011. The project includes updating more than 30,000 square feet of event space and will be completely modernized with contemporary decor that reflects the recently remodeled atrium lobby and Thornton and Capitol Meeting Rooms.

The ballroom will feature original art pieces, custom chandeliers with glass spheres and metallic organza ribbons, bold carpet colors, dark walnut woodwork, polished chrome and champagne sconces and new energy efficient fluorescent cove and recessed lighting. Once the ballroom is complete, the six-year transformation of Hyatt Regency Washington will be complete!

Grand Hyatt New York is in the midst of a massive overhaul, which will help bring a new contemporary style and modern aesthetic to the 80-year-old hotel. The renovation includes newly designed guestrooms (all 1,311 rooms!), a refreshed lobby and mezzanine level, creative social event spaces, and a new ballroom. The hotel has already started work on more than 150 guestrooms and has also completed many other components of the renovation, including the innovative new grab-and-go food concept, Market, as well as the sophisticated new restaurant, New York Central, which features a grand blue granite staircase and cuisine with a Western European flair. Renovation work on the hotel will continue throughout 2011.

Make sure to check back for our "Renovation Report," where we'll share some new renovations overseas!
