The "Celebrating More Birthdays" cake at Pink Martini Night

As many of you may know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In honor and recognition of all those who have been touched by this disease, many of our hotels around the world have been finding ways to help.
Hyatt Regency Newport: On October 15, Hyatt Regency Newport's Stillwater Spa hosted a Pink Martini Night, with all proceeds going to the Rhode Island chapter of the American Cancer Society. For a suggested $20 donation, guests received a Pink Martini (a blend of strawberry vodka, crème de cocoa, strawberry puree, Coco Lopez and Bailey's Irish Cream); a complimentary bra fitting; chair massage; hand treatment; a mini spa treatment using the local skincare line, Farmaesthetics; a spa sample amenity bag; make-up touch up; and complimentary valet at the hotel. The event culminated with the cutting of the "Celebrate More Birthdays" cake (see photo below).
Hyatt Regency Trinidad: With pink flags flanking the hotel throughout the month (see photo below), Hyatt Regency Trinidad is donating 20 percent of afternoon tea sales at Cinnamon Patisserie to the Trinidad and Tobago Cancer Society and The Cancer Treatment Foundation. The hotel's Spa Esencia is donating 20 percent of all sales on "Pretty In Pink" spa treatments to these organizations as well.
Hyatt Regency Boston: For every new "like" to Hyatt Regency Boston's Facebook page during the month of October, the hotel will donate $1 to the Ellie Fund, up to $2,000. The Ellie Fund is a non-profit organization improving the health and welfare of women and families undergoing treatment for breast cancer in Massachusetts by providing support services free of charge, including transportation to medical appointments, childcare, housekeeping, groceries, and nutritious meals.
Grand Hyatt Cairo: This past Saturday, Grand Hyatt Cairo hosted a public forum in connection with the 15th Annual Multidisciplinary Symposium on Breast Cancer. The forum gave individuals, such as breast cancer survivors, health personnel and national public figures the opportunity to ask questions and discuss ways to fight the disease.
A big thank you to all of our hotels that are participating in Breast Cancer Awareness Month effotts, and an even bigger thank you to the guests and local residents who have helped raise money for this special cause.
