Spring is finally here in Chicago, and nothing says spring like fresh flowers. As you might have seen in USA Today's Hotel Check-in, fresh flowers also say "welcome" for guests at Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles. The hotel has created a make-your-own-bouquet station of locally grown flowers, offering guests at check-in a vase and choice of blooms to enjoy in their room.
Front Office Clerk Sara Perry said both women and men alike are pleasantly surprised when they see the flower cart.
"It's definitely a conversation piece," Perry said. "It's a touch that's unheard of at other hotels."
Vases are recycled, and floral varies are changed frequently.
"If you're staying for a week, you can come down and refresh your bouquet with new selections," Perry said. "It all adds to the experience while you're staying with us. Particularly this time of year, guests can get up to their rooms, open the balconies, and enjoy fresh flowers."
