Lights, Camera, Park Hyatt Action: A Sneak Peek Fashion Frenzy!

As we inch closer and closer to the opening of Park Hyatt New York, we are excited to share with our readers even more details about the beautifully sophisticated hotel in midtown Manhattan that will officially welcome guests this summer.

As you know, the Park Hyatt brand is all about attention to detail, and Park Hyatt New York is no exception, from the stunning light fixtures above the grandiose pool (which pipes in an exclusive soundtrack from Carnegie Hall through underwater speakers), all the way down to the thoughtfully featured mini-bar items in each guestroom. Today, we are excited to share another detail with you – the wardrobe for Park Hyatt New York hostesses and cocktail servers. These chic black dresses were designed by the one-and-only American fashion designer, Narcisco Rodriguez. Take a look at these amazing renderings, courtesy of the designer himself.

With architecture at the helm of many of his designs, he was inspired by the hotel’s towering, all-glass skyscraper and its impact on the city’s skyline. That’s why the dresses feature an architectural sheath with Narcisco’s signature cut-out design. We don’t know about you, but we think these are pretty chic and will truly set the tone for Park Hyatt New York! Make sure to check out the great write-up on these uniforms on The New York Times’ T Magazine’s blog. Park Hyatt New York isn’t the only Park Hyatt hotel making waves in the fashion world – Park Hyatt Vienna, which just opened at the beginning of this month, is adorning its staff with stunning uniforms designed exclusively in collaboration with local Vienna fashion designers Magdalena Adriane and Nina Eiber from enVie heArtwork.

Speaking of fashion and design, we recently got an exclusive look at an amazing photo shoot featuring our very own Katherine Melchior-Ray (our VP of Luxury Brands). Katherine will be featured in Travel + Leisure’s July issue, and she looked head-to-toe chic, including her bright pop of orange Narciso Rodriguez clutch. Katherine will be featured in the magazine’s “Travel Uniform” section, which will showcase her fashion uniform while she’s logging miles around the world. Make sure to pick up the issue in July, but in the meantime, check out these sneak peek photos!
