In a Park Hyatt State of Mind

Even though we received a snowy blanket here in Chicago this week, the sun is out today, the birds are chirping, and we have a feeling that spring is on its way!

With the new season right around the corner, we are inching even closer to the opening of two exciting Park Hyatt hotels – Park Hyatt Vienna and Park Hyatt New York, both which will be opening this summer and will add even more sophisticated luxury to the brand.

Park Hyatt Vienna will be the first Hyatt hotel in Austria and is situated in Vienna’s stunning Am Hof Square. The hotel occupies a listed 100-year-old building that formerly served as the headquarters of Bank Austria Creditanstalt and it is located in Vienna’s First District, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The hotel is steps away from amazing shopping and celebrated fashion houses and is sure to bring a new vibrancy and energy to the beautiful, historical Vienna.

And before you know it, Park Hyatt will also be making its debut in the Big Apple, situated in the heart of Midtown Manhattan and designed by Pritzker-Prize winner Christian de Portzamparc. The hotel is across the street from Carnegie Hall and is just a short stroll from Central Park—and it is sure to provide guests with a modern and luxurious experience, especially with interior design firm Yabu Pushelberg on board.

After this summer, the Park Hyatt brand will stand 34 hotels strong, and as it grows, it will continue to stay committed to providing rare and intimate experiences to each guest that walks through its doors. That means great food and wine, great art, and the best level of service possible.

Congratulations on the upcoming opening of your new Hyatt in Vienna. It’s a beautiful city. Enjoy eating plenty of Sacher Torte and drinking coffee in their many fabulous cafes. Mozart moved to Vienna when he was 25 and stayed there until his death as he loved Vienna so much. I love Vienna myself. Beautiful architecture and museums.
