Sharing Pride in Our Hyatt Family

You may know June is traditionally a time when cities around the world hold events to support lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender citizens, and my hometown of Chicago is preparing for one of the largest celebrations with the annual Pride parade. Reflecting on the many festivities that Hyatt is supporting this month around the world, I wanted to take a moment to share the pride I have in my Hyatt family.

To me, it’s not just that we’re able to show up as a company at LGBT events with hearts on our sleeves during a dedicated month. It’s that we’re each able to show up as our unique selves – however we are – each and every day to work. It’s this approach to embracing diversity and supporting inclusion that has led Hyatt to a remarkable workforce of very talented people who, because of their differences, really help us connect with each other as human beings in a way that’s very powerful. It’s what makes staying at a Hyatt hotel different and gives our company a competitive edge.

Over the years, our colleagues, guests and industry leaders have continued to tell us that we’re on the right path. We’re humbled to have received recognition for the tenth consecutive year from the Human Rights Campaign as one of the best places to work for LGBT equality for our perfect score on the Corporate Equality Index, as well as from other organizations that know an inclusive culture makes for happy people.
